Dear
Miss Tandy, i’m glad you are my sister. i’m glad you had a good birthday. i’m glad you’re mine.
you are marvelous and witty and drop-dead-gorgeous and bouncy and amusing and plucky and you’ve got
an awful lot of
GUMPTION.
i love you.
:::
Dear people who laughed at all the wrong parts in The Time Traveler’s Wife last night,
i’m sorry you don’t understand
screenplays
and
hard times
and
love.
that’s a bit sad.
:::
Dear xc meet today,
i’m glad i get to go and watch you.
i hope you make some EXTRAordinary things happen.
i hope we WIN.
:::
Dear
boy’s soccer team,
thank you.
for being our friend.
and teaching me to juggle (i’ll get it one day).
you better be ready for a crash course on running.
it’s gonna’ be HARD.
:::
Dear
Lala mia, i’m sorry you don’t get to come today.
i’ll take snazzy pictures for you.
but i’ll miss you.
:::
Dear legs,
why
are you so tired?
wake up. wake up. wake up.
O please.
bother.
:::
Dear film–The Time Traveler’s Wife,
i pretty much think you make me mad.
how could you do that?
i never laughed the whole movie.
but i forgive you.
because the wedding scenes were a.m.a.z.i.n.g.
the wedding scenes were
SWEET
and
THOUGHTFUL.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
yesterday Miss Tandy turned sweet 16.
i sent her on a treasure hunt.
she found a trail of flowers and a bouquet.

some type-written clues.
hanging hearts.

a little scarf/wrap.
a FAIRY CROWN.

an almost done hand-knitted sweater.
an “I Love You” handmade book.

a 16 page letter.
a new blog.
a story (George and Josephine is finally done).

and a lot of LOVE.
♥
later that night we went to see The Time Traveler’s Wife.
(it didn’t meet my expectations. but it is really hard to meet my expectations when i’m wearing a high-waisted fuschia/magenta skirt and a pale blue blouse and tired legs.)

i think she had a smashing time.

Dear
today,
i hope you’re a good one.

love.
