worn out copies of The Outsiders.

i went to an xc meet in men’s jeans and a tan peacoat yesterday. it was delightful. but O so cold. my fingers hurt the whole time. but my feet were toasty warm.

NOTE TO SELF:
WEAR KNITTED SOCKS TO
XC MEETS.
YOUR FEET WILL THANK YOU.

we stopped off at the GOODWILL, Nike Outlet, and COSTCO before we went home. i got myself a Banana Republic Italiano tie, a paper-back copy of The Outsiders (i want to wear my copy out, so i’m going to carry it everywhere), some new kicks to run in, and frozen yogurt. i was ecstatic when i found The Outsiders, but buying new running shoes…

it was like a piece of pie at 6 o’clock in the morning.

cupcakes.

dancing in the street.

sparkly, dangly earrings.

presents for the ones you LOVE.

Ria in DOLCE & GABBANA.

playing soccer in the cul-de-sac.

and valentines.

all that good stuff. getting new running shoes is right up there. seriously. it’s amazing. (i’ve been wearing them all day today.)

now i’m off to play pirates with Franny, Mr.Dante, and Miss Tandy.

love.

it was a GOODWILL day today. we went to 2 of those fabulous thrift stores.

1 little green dress.

1 dancing shirt (and i’m not even a dancer…).

a Barnes and Noble Classic Gulliver’s Travels.

1 grey sweater.

1 little wicker purse.

and a pair of Nautica pajama pants.

gotta the GOODWILL.

now off to pot-stickers. i wrote about pot-stickers today. what are the chances of that?

Red Ginger Heels~

today was Church. our little Church is pretty darn lovely if i do say so myself. sometimes i find it a bit slow, but i always learn something new. something worthwhile. which i like. we got all dandied up (my Lala wore a new skirt she and i sewed yesterday. it.) and walked in late, all smiles. i like that too.

after Church we went on a ladies outing about town for some shopping today. we traipsed about a little clothing store, COSTCO, and goodwill. i ♥ goodwill.

{i wore my vintage high-waisted blue shorts (again) and a little pin striped blue+white blouse. plus red lips.} i felt superb. and like a lady. you always feel superb when you feel like a lady*wink*.

i scored a Do-it-Yourself Pilates kit, little black and cream coloured skirt, and a dress for a wedding we’re headed off to in 2 weeks. i cannot wait to wear that dress. i had quite the problems picking one, but in the end it was mostly Miss Tandy who picked it for me. which i don’t mind in the slightest. i hate making decisions. (i’ll have to stick a picture of my dress on here sometime…maybe closer to the wedding.)

i still haven't found myself an anthropology notebook...

lately i’ve had Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire on the brain. i adore those two. so cute. he was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. and she was incredible. i really want a pair of red heels to wear to the wedding. ones like Ginger Rogers had. but if i can’t find any, i’ll settle for less i suppose. some other colour. i would really like red Ginger heels though…

the colour of this little heart for those heels would be nice.

Miss Tandy is making pancakes for dinner. i think pancakes are one of the spiffiest things ever made. ever. ever. ever. i think i’ll go eat some ’cause they’re done.

love.

Love is having an allergy to peaches, and making it work nonetheless.

i’m drinking Boyd’s fine Tea: Black Tea. gotta’ love that stuff.

last night i slept on our trampoline under the stars with Miss Tandy, my Lala, and Franny. i tried to count the stars, but that was too hard. instead i just went to sleep *blush*.  and i woke up to our little old neighbor playing his piano next door. very adorable. sleeping under the stars and piano music in the morning.

we had muffins for breakfast, compliments of my Lala. they were banana chocolate chip. that used to be my favourite sort when i was little. now i think i prefer homemade blueberry or something. but i still like banana chocolate chip. i like to remember being little. (i often wish i was Peter Pan…O to be little forever.)

we’re supposed to take a trip to Goodwill today. but we have to wait for Mumsie to come home from her run. i was bored. so i got dressed. {i’m wearing my vintage high-waisted blue shorts and a little white shirt and red lips.} and i wrote some cute little sayings on an envelope that was lying on the table. here they are.

(Love is...ironing all the clothes for her, even if he doesn't know how to.)

(Love is...playing hide-and-seek, just the two of you.)

kind of like that terribly cute little book i own, but not really. love is so many things. (and i would buy my sweetheart peaches even if i was allergic to them. just so you know.)

i really want to see that movie Penelope right now. Edward is my favourite. but that could be only because of Pride and Prejudice. he made a smashing Mr.Bingley.

Mumsie’s back. *smile*. Goodwill calls.

love.

Rich boy and Poor boy

{i’m wearing my Lala’s little swirly blue+white nightgown.}

i cleaned off my dresser this morning. i had no idea that 2 girls could own so many hair-pins. they better stay in their little box on the windowsill from now on. (yes, i am talking to you Miss Tandy…). i found a lot of adorable knick-knacks as i cleaned. such sweet little things. i also came across a lot of trash that promptly went into the wastebasket. it was mostly Goodwill tags and such….

i would make pancakes tomorrow morning, but i can’t. i have somewhere “lovely” to be at 7 o’clock. so i do believe i shall make gnocchi for supper instead. that will be fun. maybe Miss Tandy and i will wear some spiffy dresses and red lips and aprons and make us some of those little delights. i ♥ gnocchi. i love it to death. that’s why i eat it. *wink*

today i wished for a coat rack to hang up all Miss Tandy’s hats and our peacoats. and i wished for a shelf for all my little darling books. i wished for S.Pellegrino. and a painting easel. i wished a lot today.

i told Miss Tandy this scrumptious tale about a rich boy and a poor boy who were both in love with a girl named Josephine and she couldn’t decide which one to marry. i asked Miss Tandy which one she would marry, and she asked me which one would lie in the road with her. i told her the poor boy would take her to his home-town and find the most adorable old street and lie in it and stargaze with her. and then i told her the rich boy would buy her a street and name it after her and lie in it night after night with her. she asked me what it would be like if she chose the rich boy. i told her they would be utterly happy and he would give her everything in the world and tell her he loved her every night as they ate pancakes at 2 o’clock in the morning on his marble floors after dancing for 3 hours in his kitchen. and the poor boy would grow his field of flowers day after day and spend his nights crying himself to sleep at his small table because she said no. then she asked me what it would be like if she chose the poor boy. i told her they would love each other to death and he would hold her hand every minute of the day and she would wake up with a bouquet of flowers by her head every morning and he would tell her she was his world as they sat in his one cherry tree together and laughed. and the rich boy would spend the rest of his life walking around his house barefoot thinking of her -and the way she said no- even though he could have any other girl in the world.

Miss Tandy told me she wanted to slap my face and that she couldn’t ever choose. i like her answer. i think it’s cute to put her in such a dilemma.

(i read part of Tess of the D’Urbervilles today. i love.love.love that book. so sweet. Angel Clare is my favourite. i love the part about his first time kissing Tess. i read that part over and over. that, and the part where he carries her across the little flooded pond to church. now there is a sweet young man. carries three girls just to carry the fourth. devotion. that’s the only word for it. that, and love.)

blooming tea….like flowers….

today was filled with words for me. it was a good writing day. thinking up new things. and remembering old things. i liked it.

i remembered this:

…………………………………………..

they passed each other on the sidewalk while walking in the rain. both of them held red umbrellas. both of them turned to second glance at one another. she wore a little black dress and a creamy coloured coat and had cherry red lips. he had shiny shoes and curly hair and wore a pale green necktie. they kept walking. then he stopped. and he smiled. and he turned around and ran. he ran after her.

……………………………………………

i loved writing that little piece.♥

and i made up this:

……………………………………………

he held her chin in his hands. softly touching her cheek with two fingers. “you know what i love best about you?” he whispered. she playfully kissed one of those fingers. “no, what?” he playfully kissed her lips. “the way you laugh when i hold your hand as if it tickles…” she blushed. “…the way you tilt your head when i touch your hair….and the way you smile in the middle of my kisses…” she blushed even redder. “you know what i love best about you?” she asked. he smiled. “the way you love me.” she whispered.

……………………………………………

i loved writing this too.♥

Miss Tandy and Franny and i headed out to the park today. we took a stroll in the creek. or at least tried to. Franny fell in. and i laughed about it. and so did Miss Tandy. but Franny didn’t. we told her she would when she was 27.

i went to goodwill today. i found another new little black dress. happyness indeed. and i also got a little flowered coin purse. (red poppies). and a swing dancing cd. i adore goodwill.

i had a cup of Blooming Rooibos Tea today.

now i have to go practice some sweet little swing dancing moves with Miss Tandy. (my Mumsie is running a blow-dryer in the kitchen. why? i have not the slightest idea….)

:::with paint on my hands:::

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

today i wore a bright pink dress with pockets and i went to the dentist. they made my nose numb. i hated it. but we went to the ~goodwill~ afterwards, and i found a dress, and a sting of pearls, and then i was happy.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

(there is paint on my hands right now. i think it’s called “winter snow” or something like that.)

(there is also a man on the television right now with a terribly funny accent, dressed up as an adventurer of sorts. i think he’s supposed to be australian. i like it. i think i need an adventurer for a story. maybe someone with a terribly fake accent, who always wears vests and amazing hats.)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

i don’t like the dentist. so i make people up in the chair while i’m there. and today, i was making someone up called “Franco,” but i wasn’t sure what his profession was. until now. he’s an adventurer with a terribly fake accent, who always wears vests and amazing hats. it all works out, eh?
